My story is quite the average one. I graduated high school back in 2012 and went off to the University of Delaware. The start of college brought plenty of new experiences and plenty of work to do; four years later, I was left with a mechanical engineering degree and a job.
Not too bad, right? Well, I forgot to mention one thing; I was left with a good deal of student debt.
The price tag on my head got me thinking.
I knew that I had missed opportunities. Opportunities that would have made my life much easier coming out of college. Opportunities that don’t come with interest payments.
What the hell was I doing the past four years as I naively pushed the idea of student loans to the back of my mind?
Definitely not thinking about scholarships.
Looking back on the last four years, I realized I passed up chances to whittle down the mounting debt over my head. Scholarships can make a difference of thousands of dollars throughout education, and there doesn’t seem to be an end to them.
There are so many out on the web; I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to collect them all into one place on the internet: ScholarshipFly. Now it is my mission to spread the word about scholarships in order to help kill the student loan debt debacle.
