Community Council of Idaho, Inc. Scholarship Fund
This opportunity offers nine $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must submit a completed application form, transcripts and three letters of recommendation, a personal statement or essay and the most recent tax returns belonging to the parents/guardians of the applicant. Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship
The ID Governor’s Cup Scholarship program makes available twenty-five renewable $3,000 awards to high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.8 who are planning to enroll in an Idaho institution of higher education. Eligible applicants must be a resident of Idaho and have an accomplished community service resume to submit along with a completed application form, transcript, SAT or ACT scores and a personal essay discussing life goals. The scholarship deadline is February 15, 2017.
Leon Bradley Scholarship
This scholarship program offers four awards ranging from $2,500 – $1,500 each to minors or black high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who are intending to pursue a career in education or educational leadership. Candidates must submit a completed application, a letter of reference. academic transcripts, and a resume of honors, activities, volunteer work, and employment. The scholarship deadline is May 29, 2017.
The Marsden Scholarship offers two awards of $7,500, and they are available for high school seniors from the Inland North West who are intending to enroll full-time at a competitive four-year college or university and for whom without assistance the enrollment would otherwise be impossible. In order to be eligible, students must be a permanent legal resident within the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane; however, the applicant need not be a member of the Episcopal church. Candidates should submit a completed online application along with transcripts and a resume of honors, awards, volunteerism, employment and any other items of interest that can help further paint a clear picture of the individual. Typically, recipients have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and SAT scores combined at 1300. The profile described is an average of all applicants but emphasis is placed on the whole person so a highly detailed and personalized portfolio is recommended. Tesoro Youth Leadership Awards
Presented in collaboration with the National Society of High School Scholars Foundation, the Tesoro Youth Leadership Award consists of twenty $2,500 need-based scholarships intended for high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and who are a resident of Idaho. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens and submit a completed application packet with a 500 words personal essay on a given subject, current transcripts and a life resume that highlights honors and awards and emphasizes leadership activities including but not limited to volunteerism. Tesoro Financial Need Form, a color high school photograph should also be submitted. The application deadline is February 26, 2017.
