Their commitment to the greater public good is particularly evident through their many diverse scholarship competitions. Rather than a national online scholarship, many of the PepsiCo sponsored scholarships are available at select limited universities.
Students attending colleges and universities in Maryland are eligible to apply for a $10,000 scholarship from the Pepsi Bottling Group. The scholarship is open to high school seniors. They must have a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence by having a 2.5 high school GPA. Scholarship recipients must also exhibit exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to public service and their community. Interested and eligible students should apply for this scholarship through their university’s financial aid office. They will be required to submit a number of application pieces, including an essay.
Students who are graduating from the Hospitality High School in Washington D.C. may also benefit from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation scholarship funded by PepsiCo. Eligible scholarship applicants must be nominated by the Hospitality High School and also must be committed to studying a hospitality-related degree at their college or university. Scholarship award amounts range from $500 to $4,000. Students who are nominated may apply for the scholarship anytime between January 1st and May 1st each year.
Current Missouri State University students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and a commitment to volunteering and service to their community are eligible to receive the Pepsi-Cola Public Affairs Scholarship. Eligible students will have a 3.25 GPA and a completed 45 credit hours. They will be required to write an essay about public affairs as part of their scholarship application. Five scholarship recipients will receive $1,250 awards. Missouri State University students can learn more about applying by visiting the financial aid office.
High school graduates of the Mid-Del Technology Center who will be attending a university in Oklahoma may also apply for the Pepsi Mid-Del Technology Scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as well as a 3.0 GPA. They may apply through the financial aid office of their future university.
Additionally, freshmen students entering the University of Nebraska-Lincoln can enter the Pepsi Service Scholarship competition. Eligible students will be high school seniors who are residents of Nebraska and will demonstrate an evident commitment to volunteering and be public servants in their community. The scholarship is worth $1,000, and eligible students can apply through their admissions application to the university.
Children of PepsiCo employees are also eligible for the PepsiCo ExCel Scholarships for Children of Employees. This scholarship, which began in 1996, was designed to encourage the children of Pepsi employees to pursue a post-secondary degree.
