Teaching is one of the most noble professions, but those pursuing it as a career often know well in advance the struggles they will face. Education majors often graduate with high amounts of student loan debt, and once hired in the classroom their salary is not nearly enough to compensate for the importance of the work they are doing. Teachers are subject to strict guidelines by the state, and often they have to work in overcrowded classrooms in over-funded schools. Teaching is not always ideal, but those who major in education have a heart for students and choose to be underpaid anyway. Thankfully, there are plenty of scholarships out there to award those who are planning on becoming the next teachers of our country.
